Medical scientist at the Brown University in Rhode Island have successfully implanted a chip inside the brain of Cathy, a paralyzed woman. The chip can sense information from the brain and can execute what Cathy Hutchinson wants to do. They called this process a Brain Gate.
Cathy is paralyzed for about 15years she can’t talk and unable to walk. Until one day she was blessed to get helped from the researchers at the Brown University to get Brain Gate.
This technology can help thousand of paralyze people for the next few years but the operation is very risky and cost a lot. This type of brain machine was first launched on 2006, and was tested on monkeys.
Not just a robot machine, researchers at Brown University is also planning to create a wireless type machines. Aside from mechanical machines, they have also created a digital version of this Braingate system where paralyzed victims can use their minds too to navigate the computer.
