For me the best people start from the bottom, and pay their dues to get to the top, it makes them more humble and appreciative this is exactly how Chris is. I was getting teary eyed when I was watching his performance, and I got goose bumps, his words his lyrics are from the heart, and he sang it with emotion that you can feel what he was going through and you can’t help but feel happy that he’s in a better place and he turned his life around.

Again it’s one of those moments where you can’t help but judge, and that’s what the judges did when he first went on stage. You can tell right when they asked him what he was going to sing, he answered an original piece called Young hommie, everyone started laughing, Paula had a big grin on her face and you all know what Simon was thinking when he said that. But then all of a sudden you hear the melody and he starts to singing, the whole room I bet wanted to cry with tears of joy and hug this guy. Everyone lit up, LA Reid was doing his thing, whatever that was, Simon was smiling and the girls were falling in love.

It was an eye opener, and that’s why you shouldn’t judge books by its cover because you really never know what you’re going to get. And yes, this video audition made me cry in the end.
